Suggest Treatment For Sinus Arrhythmia
Question: Panic attacks or physical condition? About 3 weeks ago I had a panic attack out of the blue, since then I've been having them almost everyday, the doctors took various blood tests, urine tests, an ekg, and an X-ray and everything came out normally except for my ekg which said I had sinus arrhythmia? They have me on zoloft which I'm now just starting and lorazepam to calm me, but I was wondering if I should get a ct scan or mri just to make sure nothing physical is wrong with me. Do you know of any physical problem that could cause anxiety and panic attacks out of the blue?

Sudden anxiety symptoms without any precipitating factors are usually due to anxiety disorder which is known as panic disorder.
Our barain has system that responds to fight and flight situation. In anxiety disorder this system starts malfunctioning and gets stimulated without any evident stimulus. This all is known as false alarm theory of anxiety and panic attacks. Once started out of blue it can occur with stress later on.
You have been diagnosed properly and with the drugs you have been prescribed, you will get benefited.
Don't think much about the possibility of other physical condition otherwise your anxiety will continue to increase.
