Question: Hi, my name is XXXXXXX and yesterday the back of my legs, especially behind my knees and bit of my thighs got burnt while at the beach. Walking is painful and so is laying down. Should I be concerned about the back of my knees being burnt over any other part of my body? As well, what would be the best remedy?

Brief Answer:
No need to worry.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Thank you for the query.

As long as there is no blisters and you have pain and sensing of touch is fine, this is the 1st degree of burn. This type of burn usually does not need medical attention and gets healed by its own. All you can to is to put some cooling get available OTC. The one with lignocaine would be good for pain management.

Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.
