Question: Can sitting in an office with a window with a small slit behind you hurt you skin and cause you skin cancer in the long run? Please note that this is a North window and there are no direct sunlight rays coming through this window at least the time i work there.

Brief Answer:
Regarding your concern of Skin Cancer

Detailed Answer:
Hello . Thank you for writing to us.

I am Dr. Kakkar ( Dermatologist). I have gone through your query and i have noted your concern.

Ultraviolet Rays (the spectrum of sun light which usually causes skin cancer) are the strongest in direct sunlight and at particular time of the day, 10AM - 3 PM.. So if you are not exposed to direct sunlight then you need not worry about skin cancer.
