Observe various precautions
Detailed Answer:
Hi
I understand your concern regarding your skin problem and I hope I am able to help you in the same .
The problem that your child is developing is a term common one.
The medicines that you have been using are very rightly prescribed by your treating doctor. You can surely continue to use them. But there are certain important things that you should take care off.
Since swimming pool water contains various chemicals used for cleaning so it is common to develop allergies in some people.
Before entering the pool, your daughter should apply either a moisturizer or an oil all over the body. Things like olive or coconut oil application does help. It forms a kind of barrier between the skin and the chlorinated water, thereby preventing development of any allergies.
As far as darkening of the skin is concerned , we as dermatologists do not advocate the use of sunscreen in children less than twelve years. But in case you are very concerned , you can apply an oil free sunscreen only over the face so as to prevent tanning of face. But remember that any kind of tanning that occur will be temporary and the skin will revert back to its normal color once the sun exposure decreases.
Application of diprovate or desowen has to be done only when the eczema patches develop. But you should regularly apply a good moisturizer or an oil over her body twice a day so as to keep the skin hydrated. Remember that dry skin is more prone to development of various eczemas .
Also this sensitivity of skin will decrease as your child will grow up.
Hope it helps

Also, I have been applying deprovate lotion mixed in liquid paraffin all over her body when the rasjhes are too many ..small one's. This application which may also touch good skin without patches, will it cause harm?
Proper application of medicine
Detailed Answer:
Hi again
Yes ..application of venusia over the body before entering the pool will surely help.
But as far as the application of diprovate lotion is concerned , you should try and avoid its application over the normal skin as much as possible. It is a topical steroid lotion and needs to be sparingly used . Apply it only over the affected areas.
