Question: I am 67 years old and have had skin lesions on my skin that no doctor, to this day, has ever been able to diagnose or cure. When I was 19 years old, a doctor told me tha I testes positive for histoplasmosis. Since then, I have had horrible skin problems.
Is it possible that my bout with histoplasmosis could be the cause?

Brief Answer:
Cutaneous histoplasmosis is known

Detailed Answer:
hello,welcome to HCM,
I appreciate your concern.
First of all you need to show a picture of those skin lesions or a detail description of lesion. Without looking the lesion it is difficult to know the diease.
I can tell you about cutaneous histoplasmosis; it is a rare condition caused by HISTOPLASMA CAPSULATUM one of the manifestations of chronic histoplasmosis. Mostly seen in immunocompromised persons.
The lesion looks like an eschar also associated with regional lymph node enlargement. Your doctor knows this.
I would like to know more about your problem.
Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
regards.
