Generalised skin rash , avoid tanning beds
Detailed Answer:
Hi again
From the description provided , I can sense that your niece has developed a generalised painful skin rash. The most probable cause of the same seems to be the process of tanning that she is undergoing .
Since there is no associated fever, so it rules out the possibility of any viral illness or viral rash.
I would advise her to restrain from the tanning beds till the time the skin rash tends to heal up since it may aggravate the rash further.
She should apply a mild topical steroid cream like cortisone over the affected areas . She can mix it with a moisturizer and apply it all over the affected areas twice a day .
She might in addition need a course of oral antihistamine like claritin once a day to bring down the allergic reaction.
Tell her to avoid using any other cream or oil over it .
She should avoid application of any irritants like dettol or savlon .
I am sure this will help in reducing the skin rash.
Hope it helps
