Requires investigations.
Detailed Answer:
Hello sir,
Recurrent nasal vestibulitis ( pustules in the nose ) is very common in diabetics.
Please get your sugars tested .... again.
Sometimes the nose becomes a colony for staphylococci ( pustule causing bacteria). These bacteria make the nose their permanent residence. In such situations it has to be treated with antibiotic ointment application for 1 month along with oral antibiotics. Mupirocin is the preferred ointment. It has to be applied 2 times daily.
Do not pick your nose, it promotes spread of infection.
Talk to your doctor about all of the above.
Regards,
Dr Rajkishori Godhi.
