You may give Polyethylene Glycol solution to get relieved
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Passage of painful hard stool mixed with blood suggests that the child is constipated.
Giving Polyethylene Glycol in a dose of 1 gm/kg once a day helps in relieving constipation. This Polyethylene Glycol powder is available in market under different brands and is considered to be safe in this age.
It can be easily mixed with water, juice or milk. Side effect is also very minimal like transient loose stool. I'd suggest you to get it prescribed by your physician.
Also, give plenty of fluids as it helps in constipation. You may also add extra sugar to the feeds to make the stool loose.
I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any queries.

Lactulose solution will also work
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
You may give Lactulose solution as prescribed by your doctor. Adjust the dose according to the frequency of stool (2 semisolid stool a day). You may need to decrease the dose if stool gets to watery and similarly dose may needs to be increased if symptoms persist.
Hope I have answered your query.
