Suggest Treatment For Slight Runny Nose, Sticky Mucus And One-sided Pain In The Sinuses?

Question: I was out in the garden when my left nostril began to "run" slightly.
I wiped it with my hand and then noticed that the discharge was a light XXXXXXX or the same color as water in the catsup bottle if you did not shake it.
I came in to look in the mirror and blow gently.
not much fluid , but it was very sticky.
right now , no discharge but nostril feels dirty.
Sinus on the same side has been a bit "achy" this week causing minor tooth dis comfort. Thanks

Brief Answer:
Possible sinus drainage.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

I read carefully your question and I understand your concern.

What you are describing seems like a drainage of the sinus. It is perfectly normal for the sinus to produce continuously secretions because this is how they are kept healthy. Maybe because of temperature change in the environment of a specific movement that you have done, has caused the drainage.

I don't think that you need to worry about it. There is not need to take antibiotics or take any medicine. You can do a sinus rinse if you want by sucking warm water from the tap by the nose. It is a very weird sensation but it is how it is done. It really cleans the extra secretions in the sinus.

Maybe you are starting to have a viral upper respiratory infection, but you have to see depending on the symptoms you may develop in the following hours.

Let me know if you need more clarifications or if you have a specific question.
