Suggest Treatment For Small, Raised Bumps On Penis

Recently, I've discovered some small, raised bumps (skin-colored) of different sizes and shapes only on the top of my pennis. Not the head, but on the skin. They are not painful or anything but I'm very concerned about any potential issues. Could you please advise me on what I should do? Are they infectious or serious?
Is there a clinic I can go to to get them checked out and treated in New York City area? Is there anywhere I can go for a walk-in appointment and an on-site assessment?
Thank you very much.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for using Healthcaremagic.
I went through your query and understood your concerns.
I need some more details on your symptoms to help you in a better way.
When was the first time you remember seeing them?
Have you had any other illness recently? A fever? Anything?
is there any itching associated?
.
Most of the time these kinds of bumps are due to irritation of the skin and inflammation, but Its difficult for me to interpret without examination of lesions.
In the meantime. I would suggest that you look at the clothing of your undergarments, have you made any changes? Different brands, different fabrics (a new fabric you might be allergic to for instance).

Thank you very much for taking time to answer my questions.
In responding to your follow up questions, I've provided the answers below.
When was the first time you remember seeing them?
-I can hardly recall. The first time I noticed it/them was probably half a year ago. It started with one small bump so I didn't really pay too much attention to it at all. Then the condition has slowly increased in size and number. Now I probably have 8 or 9 little bumps of different shapes and sizes. I've tried to scratch them off in the past cuz I guess that was my first instinct when I became anxious.
Have you had any other illness recently? A fever? Anything?
-I've never had any illness, fever or anything. I'm generally pretty healthy because I play lots of sports and eat fairly healthy. However, I have been sexually active but most of the time I keep protection on except for my ex-gf long time ago. I've recently done lots of reading and research on "bump-related" conditions. It seems as if the major disease-related conditions all associate with some level of pain, itching or fever. However, I haven't had any of these symptoms.
is there any itching associated?
- Nope.
I'm sure that you come across with these types of symptoms/inquiries all the time. I've just been very nervous, embarrassed and concerned with my condition. Most of the time, these types of problems turn into more of a psychological issue because it bothers me a lot in my mind. So the sooner I consult with an authority, the better off it will be. I hope that you understand my concern.
Thanks for also providing me with the clinics in NYC.
I would really appreciate your time and attention if you could respond to me soon.
Best regards
Nothing to worry
Detailed Answer:
Hi, Thanks for follow up query.
Your symptoms are not due to any STD, you are stress lot on that,
From your information on your symptoms. I don't really think this is an infection or even anything serious to worry about. They sound a lot like "Fordyce Spots", a enlargement of the natural oil glands in the skin. Fordyce spots, which are completely safe and need no treatment, are skin colored and will not have any other symptoms.
To reduce your stress you can get examined by doctor and get confirmed by tests.

Thank you for your prompt response.
I've also checked with another doctor online here and provided me with similar feedback. However, do you think that I could share a picture with you so you can look at it and exam to be sure?
Thanks.
Do send picture of lesions
Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for follow up query.
Definitely you can send picture of lesions, you can upload it on the right side of the query page or can mail it to YYYY@YYYY with subject as ATTN: Dr Vidhya K R.
Visual inspection of lesions gives better interpretation.

I just uploaded the image. Can you see it?
Thanks.
Fordyce spot
Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for follow up query.
Hey there, Yes those are Fordyce spots. You don't have to worry about them. Fordyce spots are sort of like Acne. They come and go depending on the activity of the sebaceous glands in the skin. use a soap that has less moisturizer in it and you should be fine.
If there is any itching or redness then you will have to go to a dermatologist and get an anti-inflammatory cream.
I appreciate you being careful with these things, it's a good habit, safe sex and barrier protection is a good idea, no matter who you are with.

Thank you very much for verifying the image and providing the explanation. What a relief to hear from an expert.
Best
These are self limiting
Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for follow up query.
Fordyce spots tend to go away without any treatment and they are completely harmless, this is the most recommended approach. Moreover, since these bumps have a short life span, there is no urgent need to treat them.
Maintain Good Personal Hygiene so the Bumps Don’t Get Worse.
If you prefer to get treated then you can use Tretinoin gel or cream has some effect to reduce those spots. CO2 Vaporizing Laser Treatments are available. Consult dermatologist for further treatment.

Thank you for your recommendations.
Is the gel/cream OTC drugs that I can get from a pharmacy or is it prescribed? I want to make sure that I get the right one.
Thanks
Needs prescription
Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for follow up query.
It needs prescription and it is useful in reducing those spots. For complete removal other methods are preferred.
