Question: My friend's daughter, aged 10 years is having a small swelling on her left palm. This is there since about 1 week to 10 days and there is some amount of pain in the area. There does not seem to be any puss inside but slight swelling around. The size seems to be slightly increasing. I am attaching few pictures that may help in understanding the actual situation

Brief Answer:
Maybe developing corn

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

It is mild swelling without any significant inflammation and most likely a corn(thickened skin with mild pain). Most of the time it occurs due to some trauma which may be remained unnoticed.
Skin lesions are best diagnosed by direct examination(by touching, pressing, direct visualization).
I would suggest you consult a pediatrician/dermatologist for evaluation (to see if any other cause is there) and management accordingly.

I hope this helps.
Please let me know if you have any more questions.

Brief Answer:
I am sorry but I can't prescribe medication here

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

I am really very sorry but I can't prescribe medication here without direct evaluation.
In case of corn local application of salicylic acid based band will help.
If there is sign of active inflammation antibiotic cream/oral antibiotic will be needed.
As it is not an acute condition I request you to consult a pediatrician whenever possible for proper evaluation and treatment.

Regards
