Suggest Treatment For Sneezing, Runny Nose And Cough
Question: I have a sneezing cold with watery nose and cough. It started mostly with an irritaion in throat followed by a cough and then cold. I also feel like itching my upper part of the mouth with tongue. No fever as such. Cough is mostly wet and it has changed my voice a bit.
Not consulted a doctor yet and under home medication. Took a dose of Dolo 650 and citrizine today.
Please advise if there is any other medication I can try before I decide to consult a doctor. Symptoms are from past 2 to 3 days.

Brief Answer:
You seem to have an allergic cold.
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX welcome to Health care magic,
You seem to have an allergic cold.
You can try Monti Fx--Monteleukast 10 mg plus Fexofenadine 120 mg--in the morning, cetrizine continued at night--2.5-5 mg,
Dolo to be taken only if feverish.
Saline gargles.
Consult a doctor only if continuous fever or discharge becomes thick, yellow or green in colour.
Sometimes it is set off by something we ate, so it would not be a bad idea to take Omeprazole also.
You can revert back.
Regards

Thanks for the response.
Just to give you more background. This strated with my 10 month old daughter. She also had cold and cough and later treated with Azee 100 antibiotics and levoline syrup. She still has cough but better than before and completed 5 days medicine 3 days back.
Now myslef, my wife and my brother pretty much havethe same symtoms as mine but no one has fever.
Please confirm the dosage as below:
Monti Fx--Monteleukast 10mg plus and Fexofenadine 120 mg both tablets at morning once
Cetrizine at night. Please confirm the dosage as we just ask citrize at medical store.
Also, please let me know when to take omeprazole tablet?
All these tablets should be taken for how many days?
Thank you.

Brief Answer:
Cetrizine can be taken 2.5 or 5 mg
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Cetrizine can be taken 2.5 or 5 mg depending on your level of tolerance.
Some people feel drowsy the next day if they take 5 mg at night.
Dose of Moneleukast and Fexofenadine is right.
Take Omeprazole 20 mg once a day half an hour before evening meal.
There is no course--take them till you feel better--a week to 10 days.
