Suggest Treatment For Soft Lump On Leg
![default](/r/images/default.png)
Question: Hello, I have a soft lump/ swollen area on my left leg below my knee. It is an area of about five inches from almost the crook of my knee on the interior part of my leg to about an inch across my tibia toward the outside of my leg that looks swollen.
I noticed it a few weeks ago and it has yet to go away. I never noticed it before then. I think it is slightly larger since I noticed it, but this could also be do to the angle at which I am looking at it. It is roughly bean shaped and not circular. I have noticed it is seems to disappear when I am laying down with my leg extended but it just as noticeable when I stand. I have had no injuries to the area and experience no pain from it. It does not fill hard, nor does it fill like fluid. I wore a knee brace with compression for a few days when I first noticed it and it did nothing to make it go away.
What could this be, should I get this checked out by a professional and what are some test I should expect or ask for? Thank you for you time.

Brief Answer:
may be lipoma
Detailed Answer:
Hi
I review your query and it seems that you have lipoma. It is a soft tissue swelling which is benign in nature and with time it may be dissolve or slightly enlarge or static for a long time.
My advice is to see a doctor to confirm it and if it is same than there is nothing to do, just observe...
You can go for ultrasound of leg to rule out any other serious condition like vein thrombosis etc. but chances are very rare.
Hope this will help
If you have any further queries..please let me know
