Suggest Treatment For Soft Tissue Infection And Pimples On Penis
Question: HI Doctor,
I am really worried about my present condition. I have some red pimples appeared with white head in the glans of my penis. I had the same issue 2 months back and it was disappeared after applying some iodine ointment. This time it is appeared exactly like the previous time with one red pimple came first follwoed by 3 to 4 number in the same area ( glans area). I applied some bacterial and fungus removing paste but still the pimples remaing there. I am attaching some pictures of the situation for your observation. Is this a symptom of herpes? I am really worried about it and hoping for a positive reply from you doctor. Currently i have very minor itching there without any pain. And since the last time i am having continous itching (very minor though) in anus area. Also i have noticed an abnormal warmth around my pubic and under the scrotum some times.
Last time of this problem i had contacted your team and was told that this is a soft tissue infection. And the whole problem was lasted only 1 week last time. If it a Soft tissue ifection, why it is getting repeated again?
Kindly advice me in this regard.

I have seen and examined the pic minutely. It matches the appearance and details of superficial infection that can be either bacterial or fungal or mixed kind because in this area of body some microorganisms are normally resident but cause no harm. At times due to low immunity, use of steroids/ antibiotics, high sugar levels or certain medicinal treatment these lead to flare up of infection of low grade variety. For anal area, it would be good to keep that dry and use the oint suggested.
One can say with reasonable certainty that it is not Herpes
The warmth mentioned by you is a normal finding.
For such a condition, the following strategy works best:
1 Cleaning with plain water and drying up.No oils creams or disinfectants
2 Tab Fluconazole 150 just once
3 Partner health should be ensured to be good
4 sugar levels checkup
5 Mupirocin ointment thrice daily
