Suggest Treatment For Sore Ankles

I have a sore on my ankle from rubbing against a hard part of the inside of my boot. There is a scab and its pink around the edges. It was about a week ago and today i woke up and it was really sore and stiff. Well i put neosporin and a bandaid on it and went to school. Unfortunately, its low enough that even when i didnt wear my boots it was painful to walk. I got home and wore my socks around the house for a bit. When i took them off, there was a line where the sock had been and my ankle is very swollen and noticeable larger than my other ankle. Is this possibly infected? Do i need tp see a doctor?
Thank you so much
Ps the first pic is this morning, the second was recently
Not infected,just inflammation...
Detailed Answer:
Hi my dear,
I have gone through your medical history and the photos you provided.
You are reporting to be rubbing against a hard part of the inside of your boot. That has traumatized the skin causing a small wound.
It's good that you've applied neosporin cream locally. No sign for infection noted, only a bit of inflammation (redness).
I advise to keep a good hygiene locally and not to wear tight boots. You can apply zinc oxide locally and other skin-reparation cream to help skin regeneration.
If it won't improve in one week, you can seek for dermatologist help.
That trauma is located in the ankle, where there is a lot of movement and you should wear shoes; thus making difficult to get it healed.
Wish fast recovery!
