Brief Answer:
Please attach the image
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for your query.
You can ask your wife to apply NipCare ointment for nipples. The pain could be due to cracks in the nipple. A waxy moisturizer would help in healing of the nipple cracks and soothe the skin over the nipples.
Please attach an image of your daughter's belly button, only after having a look I would be able to comment on.

Brief Answer:
It should heal
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Sorry for the delay in reponding.
There is no active abscess or discharge from the umbilicus.
If there is a active discharge of pus or painfull for the baby on touch, consult a surgeon.
Otherwise it may heal on its own.
Only concern is that it may leave a protruding naval.
Hope, I answered your query.
Wish you good health.
Regards,
