Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat And Bronchitis While On Azithromycin

Question: I had bronchitis 2 weeks ago. My doctor put me on azithromycin (5 days) and I recovered, and my cough was almost gone. Today I feel a sore throat (again). Is it possible I caught something else or do you think its the same thing I had coming back? I was very careful and changed my sheets, got a new tooth brush, lip products, sanitized my mouth guard, etc. I did not replace my other types of makeup though (eye, foundation) if that makes a difference. I do work in a busy restaurant and am exposed a lot of people's germs. Do you think I got a new infection or that my antibiotics didn't work the first time?
Brief Answer:
likely a new infection
Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic
It is likely a new infection.
Most cough/colds would start with sore throat or nasal symptoms (runny or stuffy nose) or general unwell feeling.
Sore throat is usually at or near the beginning of an illness.
Sore throat can also occur with over use of the voice or if there is a post nasal drip of mucus.
If it is an infection then other symptoms may follow such as nasal symptoms and a cough.
Most cough/colds are viral so you can start with over the counter meds such as paracetamol for the pain
Cough and cold meds for any symptoms that start up.
I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
