Though cold is a common complaint, any type of possible infection to be treated carefully in pregnancy.
As you are having sore throat and cold, better to consult gynecologist and get examined to rule out infection.
After that with her advice you can go for treatment involving drugs:
-Antibiotics to treat infection. In pregnancy penicillin group of drugs like ampicillin and amoxycillin etc are safe.

Hi XXXXXXX
Better to take antibiotics with your doctor's advice after examination.
Usually in our hospital we prescribe antibiotics like Amoxil, Alphamox, trimox, policylin etc for minor infections in pregnancy.
These can be taken twice a day or thrice a day depending on the dosage of the drug and severity of the problem.
So consult gynecologist once, get examined and take tablets according to her advice.

Not quinolones
