Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat And Hoarse Voice
Sore Throat, laryngitis.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for your query.
1. This seems to be the beginning of a sore throat (URTI-Upper Respiratory Tract Infection).
2. Take an anti-allergic (such as levocetrizine 5 mg/ cetrizine 10 mg/ fexofenadine 120 mg) and a paracetamol (crocin) tablet after meals. You may gargle witha medicated oral rinse such as Betadine. A table spoon of Mucaine Gel/ Gelucil/Digene will help. Just before sleeping, take a cup of warm milk with turmeric (haldi).
3. Get your throat examined tomorrow. Antibiotics are not necessary unless there is increasing pain, fever or worsening of symptoms.
4. The change in voice suggests a laryngitis due to either viral infection, post nasal drip or acid reflux.
I hope that I have answered your query. If you have any more questions I will be available to answer them.
Regards.
