Brief Answer:
Guaifenesin and Dextromethorphan combination cough syrup
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome,
I have gone through your query and do understand your concern. Yes it can happen after due to upper respiratory tract inflammation.
In the absence of any fever and shortness of breath, any Guaifenesin and Dextromethorphan combination cough syrup can be used.
Apart from that, I would suggest you to do steam inhalation with few drops of eucalyptus oil in it, three to four times a day.
Drink plenty of water especially warm water. One teaspoon of honey with warm water in the morning will be beneficial.
Hope this helps
