Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat

Question: Hello doctor
I had for last ten days sore throat and there is very bad smell comes from my mouth also very painful.
I can not eat so i have lost 3 kilo gram of my weight.
4 different family doctors and one ENT doctor have visited me and there are no clear idea.
There was only white sells increase in my blood test to three times.
My last visit was by ENT and he recommended me to have biopsy soon.
I have been smoking last 30 years and quit it 3 months ago.
I am female 57 years old,sport woman.

I have read your query & will be happy to help you.

As per your clinical history it appears that you are having throat infection with painful swallowing & poor oral hygiene .

If I were your treating doctor, I would advice you
Antiseptic Mouth Wash thrice daily ,
take semi-solid food or juice ,
Macrolide Antibiotic &
Vitamin C.
Don't take overdose of Tramadol for pain.

You are having long term history of smoking.

I would like to do ENT , Head Neck examination to see any Oral growth & hygiene, palpate posterior part of tongue , neck lymph node & see Laryngeal crepitus.

Also like to investigate you by doing Video laryngoscopy of your throat & larynx to see any growth or tumor inside & take biopsy for histopathology examination.

You can discuss this with your treating doctor.
