Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat
Question: I have been experiencing a sore throat for the past couple of days and gargling with TCP. This morning I realise it is the XXXXXXX apple that is sore and tender to the touch
Brief Answer:
need to see doctor
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
You may be dealing with strep or other throat infection. It is important for you to see a doctor and be tested so that you can get antibiotics if needed. If the infection or inflammation is moving down your throat it could be becoming more serious so it would be good if you could see a doctor soon. Try to got to urgent care if you can not see your doctor in the next day. If you develop fever or shortness of breath then you may need to go to emergency.

Hi, I am travelling in my campervan, channel tunnel tomorrow,so it's difficult for me to get to a doctor. That's why I am using this service.
This morning my throat feels much better, I can swallow comfortably but the 'adams apple' is still tender, especially on the right hand side. My voice seems to have dropped several decibels and I still feel a bit feverish.
Is there anything in this that makes you feel the infection is movingor is it starting to get better?

Brief Answer:
possibly viral
Detailed Answer:
Hello, It is possible that the infection is viral. If that is the case, then it will resolve on its own without antibiotics. If you can not get to a doctor then you will just need to monitor it. If you continue to feel better then it is probably viral. Viral infections usually resolve in 7-10 days. If it gets worse or especially if you develop high fevers you will need to try to seek medical care. I hope you are better soon.
