Suggest Treatment For Soreness On The Tongue

Sore possibly coming from either viral or fungal infection.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for using HCM,
I read your question and I understand your concern.
Sores in the tongue in general can be either viral or fungal. If it is just one sore it is more possible to be viral, while if it involves all the tongue with white patches, it may be fungal infection.
If I was your son's caring doctor I would recommend to use desinfectant solution (what you are using is a good option) and an analgesic cream to apply locally. It may need about two weeks maximum to heal, because viral infections are self limited. You can apply an antifungal cream locally as well, so you can cover the possibility of being fungal infection.
Hope this is helpful.
Let me know if you need more clarification. I will be happy to answer.
Regards,
