Suggest Treatment For Spreading Rashes On The Body
Question: I have had rashes show up on my body for the past few months.
It began in the chest area, and has moved to waist and upper inside leg.
At times, the rash has turned into a minor boil/ big pimple
I have tried hydrocortisone, washed with antiseptics, sprayed with calamine lotion, etc
Nothing seems to help. Suggestions ?

This started for the first time about 5 months ago. The itch becomes incessant, especially in a hot shower. I feel best immediately after the shower.
My wife is not affected, but, she believes it may be mites, because the itch tends to move around. I play a lot of golf, sand mites ?

Brief Answer:
Apply PERMETHRIN
Detailed Answer:
Dear xxxxxxxxxxxx,
On gross inspection and by morphology of lesion it is going in favour of PAPULAR URTICARIA,
it is an insect hypersensitivity reaction which is very difficult to treat because of the presence of the allergen everywhere.
Nevertheless I usually recommend PERMETHRIN 5% LOTION application over whole body, TWO TIMES AT A GAP OF 1 WEEK
TAB IVERMECTIN 12 MG, 1 TAB PER WEEK FOR 2 WEEKS.
TAB LEVOCETRIZINE can be taken to suppress the itching
Ideal treatment includes the fumigation of home with proper treatment of animals..
Hope it helps
