Suggest Treatment For Spreading White Patches On The Feet

Question: I have white patched on my feet and I think its spreading a bit.I consulted with one of the doctor he said its due to sun rays and gave cream to apply.So I want to know whethet its vitiligo and if yes then how can I get confirmed and what are the medications and treatment for this.

Hi,

To confirm the diagnosis you have to get a skin biopsy and run a few blood tests for autoimmune diseases. Treatment depends on the severity of the disease. If its localized corticosteroid creams such as the one you are using now will prevent skin color change. For severe cases, Oral immunosuppressants will be prescribed. Phototherapy may also help.
