Suggest Treatment For Stomach Bloating And Feeling Of Mass Inside Abdomen
Question: I have a stomach "bloating issue that I've had for a couple of years now. I'm starting to become very concerned. It feels as though there is a mass inside of me just behind the belly button area and I now am getting red marks.. Lines that to some degree resemble stretch marks but they are short and seem to be just surrounding my belly button. I look like I'm pregnant when I bloat up and I feel stretched out. Any Idea what may be the problem?

I have had no diagnosis in the past. I cut out wheat and still seem to be getting bloated regardless, whenever I eat, but especially when I eat green foods, plants, veggies fruit. I commonly am constipated and fiber rich foods don't seem to help. I usually feel fine in the morning but end up bloated later having the urge to push on my abdomen with my hands.
Brief Answer:
Can be irritative bowel, intolerances to be ruled out first
Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX
if a patient with your symptoms and history comes to my office i usually recommend the following:
1.) Ruling out intolerances against gluten, lactose, fructose and sorbitol, to be tested by gp or gastroenterologist.
2.) Colonoscopy to be discussed
If all that turns out with no result this can be irritative bowel syndrome, then the recommendation would be relaxation techniques and different more natural approaches like cumin/ fennel tea. But before going in that direction above examination should be discussed with your local gp.
Hope this is helping you , if you have any clarificatons you can get back to me, if this was helpful please kindly rate my answer. Best regards
