Question: My 12 year old son has been ill since Sunday. Belly ache with some diahrea. Headache that's does not go away with Motrin, and a mild sore throat. Has been coughing too. No fever and has been sleeping significantly more hours at night. Any thoughts?

Brief Answer:
Ill

Detailed Answer:
Hello. I just read through your question.

These are very common complaints in this age group. This could be a simple passing viral illness. In this case, fluids, rest, and time are all that are needed.
However, this could also be a sign of a Strep throat infection. in this case, antibiotic treatment is needed to resolve the illness.

i recommend consulting with your doctor so the correct diagnosis can be made and the appropriate treatment plan implemeted.
