Suggest Treatment For Stomach Ulcer

Antacid, Bicarbonate, avoid drugs and stress, see Dr
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for the query,
I understand how distressful this be. Stomach ulcers have treatments that range from drugs to life style changes.
The very first thing is being sure it is a stomach ulcer. The pain is usually in the upper stomach area, burning, irradiating to the back and more intense when one stays for a long time without eating. Some foods, drugs and spices, and stress could aggravate this pain.
As an urgent treatment now, you might need some antacids or some Bicarbonate if you have some at home.
Treatment will require alleviation of the pain, which will require special antacids like chewable Alluminium hydroxide. Proton pump inhibitors (drugs that reduce acid secretion) are of utmost importance.
It is thought that stomach ulcers are caused by bacteria called Helicobacter Pylori. Your doctor will do a test for this germ, and probably a tube is inserted into your stomach to check for the ulcers and evaluate the intensity.
Based on findings, Antibiotics and proton pump inhibitors could be prescribed for a period ranging from four to eight weeks.
Stress a factor that aggravates these ulcers. It might be necessary to avoid spicy foods, staying for long hours without food and certain non steroidal anti inflammatory drugs (Ibuprofe, Diclofenac).
I think for now, Bicarbonate solution, or Alluminium Hydroxide or any Antacid over the counter as you wait to see your doctor should be enough.
Thanks and kind regards,
Dr Bain

I pretty much know this is a duodenal ulcer, as I've had them before. I did have h pylori bacteria at the time, and highly suspect I do again. Already said I was using the otc drugs. I'm adamantly against big pharma!!! Drugs like Prilosec and Nexium are like taking poison to rid oneself of one dastardly thing, only to develop a host of other worse issues, like mal-absorption of vitamins and minerals, like osteoporosis and broken bones. No thank you. I have ordered an herbal remedy to take for several months.
Herbal medication help, lifestyle changes could as well be helpful.
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks so much for your updates and sorry missing some detail fro the beginning.
It is true some persons react adversely to some of these drugs. It might be interesting to have your doctor monitor you and switch to other available options.
I agree that some herbal formulas have been very helpful to some patients.
Lifestyle remains a good mainstay of care in my opinion.
Thanks again as I wish you the best of health.
