Suggest Treatment For Stress Induced Lung Inflammation

default
Posted on Thu, 7 Jul 2016
Question: Looking for your thoughts. I believe I know the answer but will see what you think.

In our prior conversations I have mentioned my upper lungs SEEM TO BE NOT WORKING ORLETTING MUCH AIR IN We have said that that is my perception of it not working
I notice that my lower lungs are Seeming to do the breathing. But it too does not fully expand.
Please notice that I said it seems. As you said, I am thinking this.

Ok with that understood l am wondering if this the inflammation of the small airways hitting entire lung equally but I am sensing an area only. That the small airways are all inflamed and that it's not just one part. Do you agree??

Oh I've been meaning to pass along that our conversations are occasionally read by other dr's at hcm. Not sure if you knew this. It is not oversight but another looking to keep up with my issues

Brief Answer:
No, I don't know about other doctors keeping watch on our conversation.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Yes, you are right about stress induced inflammation affects entire lung equally.
So practically, it affects whole lung similarly, upper as well as lower lungs equally.
But initially you perceive it more in upper lungs.
And no, I don't know about our conversation being watched by other doctors.
What was that?
Also let me know
1. Was the stressor larger since last few days?
Please reply me answers of above asked questions, so that I can guide you better. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.

First of all, I did not mean for you to repeat what you have said before regarding where I perceive the lung issue. I was mentioning I understand your thoughts. I was saying that I think it's happening in both areas but yes, I see it more in upper lobe area.
I find both areas tight but that I am feeling expansion in lower but it also presses on stomach and abdomen.

I have fretted so much all weekend that I am having inflammation more noticeable than usual. Not sure why other than I am always looking to see that breathing has improved only to stress when I find it has not.

Brief Answer:
Earlier don't you feel any tightness in lower chest?

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your follow up question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
So you are feeling tightness in entire lung (upper and lower) but more in upper lung.
And you also agreed on more stress during this weekend.
So please let me know
1. Earlier don't you feel any tightness in lower chest?
2. Earlier is it only upper chest tightness?
3. What was the factor which contributed more stress in last weekend?
Please reply me answers of above asked questions, so that I can guide you better. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.

I suppose it is tightness in lower, I know that I can inhale so much and then it feels tight and restricted from taking in any more. I am assuming that both upper and lower are "attacked", but that i am pushing more out of lower and that causes abdominal push up into the lungs FEELING. Note that I said feeling.

Had, Kids
Still working on project for job,
Had a appointment to have job interview that I could not accept because it would leave me here in the State of Nebraska USA. And I need to get Back to South XXXXXXX USA if I ever wish to feel better.
Had band practice.
I wanted so much to follow Dr Bhavsars recommendation to Rest and relax but had to be on the go for doing this and that.
Missed an appointment in South XXXXXXX for a friends graduation.
Making plans for trip this weekend.

The biggest stressor was not feeling improvement and ended up feeling worse in my breathing. The things I believe are the following
From Your expanation, I do not have Emphysema
From my physical understanding, I do not have accute or Chronic Bronchitis.
From 4 pulmonologists (your included), I have anxiety and stress and its affecting my lungs.
From 3 Pulmonologists ( you included) I have inflammation of the airways.
1 says Bronchial Asthma
1 says Very Mild Asthma
You say Inflammation.
I tend to appreciate your choice. Inflammation affecting the small airways which affect fef25/75 and if that airway is what is inflammed in upper and lower airway that is causing tighness

I just cant seem to get the stress and anxiety to go down enough to get a foothold on the inflammation just to then reduce it.

This all began 3 years ago. 4 years ago, i was doing one of my daily walks and for some strange reason, I noticed and noted that my breathing had not been a problem for a very long time. 6 months later It becomes an ongoing issue that has been with me since. In that 6 month time, I watched mom die from COPD, My apartment building was becoming a problem with repairs and problems, my old girl friend and her family was getting on my nerves, the band i was in was going no where and my employer was getting more and more demanding to work and was never in a happy mood. I was on edge with him.

Do you know that I need a support group to talk to out side of Psychiatrist, I want others around to listen to and to talk to.

My Psychiatrist on HCM is the one who has kept tabs on me by checking in on the conversations we have. I have not talked to him in a while so during my absence he checks in to see if i am still talking and to whom I am talking with and about what ever we are talking about.

Woke up at 2:30. Couldn't return to sleep state. Mind started to worry. Then it released a lot of stress hormones. It had to have went straight to lungs and inflamed airways. Then released more. Finally had to get out of bed at 5 to take a Xanax.

I thought yesterday was on its way to be an improved day then this has caused setback.

No sweating no rapid heart rate. Just the feeling of fright sensation

As I hav said I let my mind worry on breathing then it triggers. I went to bed feeling fine. Then I woke and went into fright mode.

Sometimes I think it is a fear of having to get up to go to work and the desire to get more sleep is lost by the thoughts of another day of work. I can say that because I notice that after workday ends I am much more relaxed. Not completely relaxe, probably because of the excessive stress I have.

Positive. I had a holster monitor test a few years ago. Did it for a week. Tests were fine.

When we talk of the inflammation in airways is it just small or all airways. I get a great start on a inhale butt words the end it is more constricted or labored. This has been this was from the start. I am guessing it has to do with the inflammation in small airways

Brief Answer:
In your case it is only in small Airways.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your follow up question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
In your case it is only interested small Airways.
If it is in also in larger airways then you must be having wheezing and this must have reflect in your PFT.
What do you mean by writing 'positive'?
And what do you want to convey by writing' I get a great start on a inhale butt words in the end it is more constricted and labored '?
You must have done some spelling mistake in this.
Please clear my doubts, so that I can guide you better. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.

Positive was answering your question that I am certain about the tachcardia.
I have no large airways problems.

What do you mean "Interested airways" The interested part confuses me.

My last question or statement was that I take a deep inhale or lets say try to take a deep inhale and I get a good amount in but then its like I hit a stubborn airway at the end, and that i am wondering if its inflamed airway that is really small and has more constriction or more.

I am assuming that airways start large and get smaller as they go father until they hit aveoli. if the smallest of airways are at the end, and if they are inflamed and tightened from inflammation, would they have harder time getting air out and air in?

I also believe our thread will end soon. Keep an eye out for a new one if so.

Brief Answer:
It's my mistake. It is in small Airways not interested small Airways.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your follow up question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
So sorry for this.
It was my typing mistake. I was saying that 'in small Airways' not 'interested in small Airways'.
So again sorry for my mistake.
And yes, alveoli is the terminal part of bronchial tree.
They are not seen on naked eye. You have to use microscope if you want to see them.
They are considered as small Airways.
And yes when they are inflamed, breathing out is more troublesome as compare to breathing in.
I have some good news to share.
I am awarded as 'Doctor of the month' for the month of may 2016 by HCM.
Thanks for your your support and belief.
You can see it on HCM.
You can wish me if you like. Ha ha.
I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
