Suggest Treatment For Stroke-like Symptoms While Having Hypertension
This Could be TIA or RIND. This needs immediate Attention
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to HealthCareMagic.com I am Dr.J XXXXXXX Anto Bruno Mascarenhas, and I am here to help you. I have read your question with care and understand your husband has Arachnoiditis, asbestosis, hypertension. About 3 weeks ago how started having what looks like XXXXXXX Strokes. He's had about 16 total. He's been to the ER and his pain management doc and a cardio vascular doc they all say it's not stroke per the MRI CT.
There are few other conditions called RIND and TIA.
RIND is Reversible Ischemic Neurological Deficit
TIA is Transient Ischemia Attacks
Both these will resemble Stroke, but CT and MRI will be normal
They are infact fore runners of stroke and occur due to reduced blood flow to brain cells.
If a person has TIA or RIND, he needs immediate attention by a Neurologist or Neurosurgeon. I would not recommend waiting for 3 months.
I would suggest you to kindly expedite the Neurologist appointment and consult the Neurologist or Neurosurgeon at once
Hope you found the answer helpful.
