Brief Answer:
Common in GERD OR SINUSITIS
Detailed Answer:
Hello again,
Thanks for considering my answer and for your follow up.
I Hope you are fine.
Mucus accumulation in throat could be due to upper floor (sinus secretions, drips into back of throat) or lower floor (stasis of regurgitated gastric contents).
In chronic GERD, these symptoms are more often. You can start syp. mucaine gel, 2 tea spoons twice daily, cap. Amoxicillin 500 mg thrice daily for 5 days along with regular medium 40 mg (ppi inhibitor).
Meantime, you can start salt water gargling, brushing before sleep, quitting smoking.
Hope, I have answered your query.
Take care.

Sure doc. I will try to follow up. In usa we cannot get antibiotics until prescribed by doctors. Also this is a constant feel to clear the throat and when it comes out of its like white or transparent mucus. Also I feel the mucus is there at the top of my mouth.
Thanks
