Suggest Treatment For Subdural Hematoma

Question: 81 year male hospitalised for Subdural haemorrhage.kindly refer all the documents and suggest if it is due to trauma or not
Brief Answer:
May be related to head injury
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Subdural hematoma in elderly age occurs most commonly due rupture of vessels passing through different layers of meninges.
The vessel is very fragile at this age and due to brain atrophy the mobility increases.
Sometimes even trivial trauma like head banging against a door or bed may cause subdural hematoma. Even without trauma it can occur.
It is not possible to ascertain the cause with available reports but no direct evidence of any external head injury mark on scalp.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
