I have had a swollen submandibular gland on the right side that is the size of a peanut mm. It is rock hard and firm but has been there for 9 months and has been the same size the hole time. I have no other symptoms and had blood work 7 months ago and all blood counts were normal. What is the chance this could be cancer?
Brief Answer:
Unlikely cancer, FNAC can diagnose the condition. USG can be helpful.
Detailed Answer:
WELCOME TO HCM,
I understood your query
You seem to be describing submandibular gland swelling.
For the diagnosis of nature of disease, FNAC is must . Sonography with doppler and FNAC will establish the exact diagnosis. The treatment is based on diagnosis.
There is least likely cancer as the size is same since last 9 months and you have not any other symptoms related to cancer.
hope you are satisfied with the answer.
thanks
