Suggest Treatment For Sudden Loss Of Hearing In A Diabetic
My mother is bedridden but her hearing has been very good. Since the last 2 weeks she has been having a lot of cerumen buildup which is making it difficult for her to hear. I tried Soliwax and cleaning to no avail. Kindly let me know what else I can do. Someone suggested hydrogen peroxide since she is a diabetic. Please help me.
Your mother will need ear cleaning by ENT specialist .
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for the query.
I have read your query , reviewed your medications and understand your concern.
Your mother will need ear cleaning by ENT specialist . Ear bud will push ear wax much deeper which decrease hearing further .
Hydrogen peroxide 3% will remove only superficial wax , deeper wax removal require suction & microscope .
If I were your treating doctor , I would advice
get ear cleaning done by ENT specialist by suction & microscope .
Till then use Soliwax ear drop & Ciplox D ear drop 4 drops 4 times / day .
It will come out in small pieces .
Hope this information helpful to you .If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
Regards.
I would advice , kindly take your mother directly to ENT specialist clinic
