Suggest Treatment For Swelling And Itching Sensation At The Site Of Insect Bite

Question: I was bitten by a fly and about 11 hours later experienced swelling and itching to the site (hand). It is still swollen more than 24 hours later. What should I do/
Brief Answer:
oral antihistamine and anti inflammatory
Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic
In addition to the topical agents, you may want to try oral antihistamines such as benadryl or zyrtec or claritine along with an anti inflammatory pain killer provided there is no reason you cannot use them.
Though the are may not be painful or uncomfortable, the anti inflammatory pain killer would further reduce the inflammation in the area.
Eg of anti inflammatory pain killers are ibuprofen, cataflam or naproxen
I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions

Brief Answer:
can use anti histamine
Detailed Answer:
HI
The anti histamine can be used but it may be best not to use the anti inflammatory (ibuprofen, naproxen etc).
There may be an increased risk of bleeding with these and xarelto
