Question: I have swelling and pain in my right index finger. What can I do about it? I have RA...but this is new. Discomfort occurs mainly at night.

Rheumatoid arthritis causes inflamcation of the joints which can happen anytime. Other possibility is osteoarthritis in addition to your RA. You can try antinflamnatory and if no improvement you may need to talk to your rheumatologist. Another natural treatment is chondrontin sulfate which helps joint inflammation.
