Answered by Dr. Kathy Robinson (48 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
yes see a rheumatologist

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for your question.
Doctors that take care of rheumatoid arthritis are great to see if you have joint pains and whole body pains.
It is important to get a diagnosis as soon as possible so that you can get proper treatment.
In the past we did not really have a way to stop the progression of rheumatoid arthritis but now we have drugs that can put it into remission.
The sooner you get a diagnosis and treatment the better your outcomes will be and the sooner you can stop suffering.
I think you have made a good decision to see a rheumatologist
I wish you the best,
Dr. Robinson

Brief Answer:
normal labs

Detailed Answer:
It is good that all these labs are normal. It is unlikely that you have Rheumatoid arthritis with a normal sedimentation rate and a negative Rheumatoid factor but something else must be going on so I am glad that you are seeing the rheumatologist

Brief Answer:
thanks

Detailed Answer:
The MCV and MCH being a small bit low is not a concern since the hemoglobin and hematocrit are normal.
The BUN to creatinine ratio being high is most likely from you being somewhat dehydrated when you got the blood drawn. The next time you get labs done (probably tomorrow) make sure you drink lots of water before you get the blood drawn. The BUN and creatinie would then probably return to normal

Hey my blood test came back my mcv and mch low
doctor
Answered by Dr. Kathy Robinson (3 hours later)
Brief Answer:
not a problem

Detailed Answer:
Yes, I see that your MCV and MCH are slightly low. As long as your hemoglobin and hematocrit are normal the slight decrease in MCV and MCH are not a problem. A very low MCV and MCH could indicate iron deficiency but if you had that then your hemoglobin and hematocrit would be low, but they are normal so it is not a concern
