I see my dentist regularly and I don't believe i don't have any dental issues at the moment.
I don't have any allergies that I'm aware of.
The swelling just began yesterday.
My wife said she could see a sore type thing inside my cheek but nothing on the outside.
I take the typical medications for hypertension, enlarged prostate, cholesterol, etc... I have a cream for testosterone I use daily. I recently have had my hip replaced so I take pain meds on the bad days. I have some medication for depression which I take once a day. I also have a prescription for anxiety which I take as needed. Yesterday was a very stressful day at work and I did take the anxiety medication close to the time I took a pain med for my hip. I thought that could have potentially been the problem?
i don't have any swelling in any other parts of my body. I did at the beginning of the week because I just returned from Italy and the long flights swelled my legs but that has since gone away. i bought some over the counter diuretic which helped with that.

Hi..
Welcome back..
The symptoms that you are facing can be very much due to allergy or drug interaction while can also be due to infection..
So you need to consult an Oral Physician or an Oral Surgeon while you can also consult a General Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like blood test and x ray can be advised to rule out the cause and then only treatment can be advised..
As of now do cool compresses over the swelling..
Hope this helps..
Regards.
