Suggest Treatment For Swelling And Soreness In Urethra After Using Catheter
Question: I have ic and have to XXXXXXX My urethra seems swollen and is very sore. Does not hurt when I can void though. How can I soothe swelling?

IN such case 7-10 days antibiotic therapy is required. I usually start my patients on ciprofloxacin 250mg. It is a prescription medicine so you need to visit your local dr to get it. Meanwhile drink adequate water & keep genital area clean.

Does a urethral infection show up in a urine culture. Mine came back negative but still have swelling.
