Suggest Treatment For Swelling In The Knee And Elevated Creatinine Levels
Inflammatory Pseudogout arthritis
Detailed Answer:
Hi there
Thanks for the query
According to your clinical picture, you have Pseudogout. This usually presents at your age and with CPPD crystals.
Usually NSAIDs and Colchicine are used for treating the condition. You can take Prednisone or Deflazacort steroid such will help immensely to give you relief from this inflammatory arthritis.
Apply cool packs to the affected region. Avoid squatting, cross leg sitting, climbing stairs and kneeling.
It would be good to get a diagnostic Arthroscopy to look around in your knee for the source of instability and also debride any diseased regions in the knee.
The high creatinine needs to be looked into by your Nephrologist to rule out nephrotoxicity.
I hope I have answered your query.
I will be available to answer your follow up queries.
