Brief Answer:
Get xray done.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have read your query.

Hi, you have'nt mentioned which type of swelling is it hard or soft, pulsatile, whether its painful at rest or movement or its painless.

If I am your treating doctor I would advise you to have xray of both knees in AP view and xray of both wrists in AP view so get it done and send me the report, I want to see the present condition of your joint.

If swelling is hard then it may be due to osteoarthritis, but if soft then it may be ganglion over the wrist and popliteal cyst of knee.

I also advise you to have visit for orthopedic surgeon, and discuss all this with him, he will advise you further investigation like MRI scan of knee if needed (after doing your physical examination) and do your treatment accordingly.

I hope you got my point.

Thanks,
