Suggest Treatment For Swelling In The Left Knee

Question: my left knee is really swollen. i work at ups and I need to know a quick relief i can use because its the time of year that i cant miss work.
Brief Answer:
It is osteoarthritis knee
Detailed Answer:
Hi I am Dr Gopal Goel , Orthopedic surgeon.
You have a swelling in the knee and want to work this season before any definitive treatment.
Seeing your description and your picture , To me it appears that that your knee swelling is because of Osteoarthritis of the knee.
I would suggest mild pain killers , Hot fomentation , Local Application of analgesic cream , and Quadriceps exercises of the knee ( any Physiotherapist can teach you the exercises). If pain and swelling persists , you can use knee support on a temporary basis.
Hope this answers your question. Pl feel free to ask any other question.
