Question: I am having Swelling in my Right Leg and Right Arm, it isn't so much visibly noticeable but i feel the tightness and can see a slight difference in size. I am very concerned about this because I did have Hodgkins Disease 25 years ago and have been reading about this swelling online. I had this slight swelling about 8 months ago and lost weight and it did improve to the point i didn't even notice it, but have gained weight back and now it seems to be swelling in my right leg and right arm. I get very little physical exercise i sit at a desk all day.

I failed to mention that I had Radiation in upper chest around heart and Chemotherapy

Also recent blood work from 2 months ago showed white cell count and red cell count as normal levels

Brief Answer:
See for thyroid function test and heart function test.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your query

I'm Dr Sudhir Kumar

I have gone through your query and understand your concern. I think it is unlikely to be due to Hodgkin's lymphoma and its treatment. As you are also having weight gain associated with it so I will like you to rule out hypothyroidism by thyroid function test (T3,T4 and TSH). Another possibility can be some disturbance in circulation as swelling is reduced on overnight rest. So I will also like to get heart function test done. Avoiding long sitting can be helpful by improving circulation.

Hope your query get answered. If you have any clarification then I will be happy to help you.

Wishing you a good health.
Take care.
