Suggest Treatment For Swelling In The Shoulder Blade

Question: My husband has a swollen spot over his shoulder blade. It is one half inch in diameter, dark red in the center, quite raised in the center to form a cone, 3-4 white spots across the center. I thought it was in insect bite even though it did not itch when first found. It receded somewhat but now at day 5 is larger and harder, and a little itchy. I get a lot of bites and if this were me I would probably not be concerned. My husband rarely reacts to bites, so finding this, plus seeing it seem to improve and now be redder and harder, has me concerned.
Brief Answer:
a photo of the spot is needed
Detailed Answer:
Hi my dear,
A photo of the spot is needed for a more specific answer.
From what you are describing, it might be a tick bite and suspects go for bull's eye. The photo will help determine it and the right treatment strategy.
Looking forward to have the requested photo in.
