Brief Answer:
Need proper diagnosis along with symptomatic care

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Since it is water retention in the entire body and your weight should have increased big time, long time over 6 weeks. It needs a lot of parameters to know like electrolytes, 2D ECHO, kidney and liver functions. It could be kidney failure, aldosterone deficiency secondary to some other problems. We call this as refractory edema not amenable to treatment.

Ideally it has to be treated with hospitalization till the time the water is drawn out. I suggest to opt for in hospital treatment by a team of doctors including cardiologist, Nephrologist and Endocrinologist.
Please attach some prescriptions or reports to the query so that I have a little idea where the treatment is being targetting or primary opinion of the doctors seeing your case.
Note: For further queries related to kidney problems and comprehensive renal care, talk to a Nephrologist. Click here to Book a Consultation.
