Detailed Answer:
Hi! Welcome to health care magic.

Stroke symptoms, head ache and swollen ankles as you described can all be due to blood pressure.

Development of new stroke symptoms require urgent need to visit a medical facility. You may be asked for CT scan of head to rule out any bleeding vessel. If there is no bleed and symptoms are of the stroke, and neurologist determines it to be a stroke, you may given injections to melt the stroke and with in few hours of si h symptoms, damages are reversible. If fully established stroke isn't diagnosed in examination even then CT will ne needed and treatment with statins, and anti platelet medicines like aspirin and clopidogril may be started. Headache can be part if stroke or different entity. Blood pressure if high will be lowered with extreme caution and not suddenly.

An Echo cardio gram will help for origin of stroke as well as to rule out reasons of your swollen ankles. Kidney and liver function tests alongwith Urinanaylsis will also be needed.

Complete recovery from stroke symptoms nay take from days to months, and good nursing care, and physiotherapy may also be needed.

But, the bottom line is, a rapid referal to a multidisciplinary hospital is urgently needed.
