I was advised to continue the Predisolone acetate and the vigamox. Do you concur? Is the corticosteroid ointment over the counter? Ointment goes on top on top of Eyelid? Have all ready spent $250 on medications. Is there an over the counter ointment I could use? Am I contagious?
Brief Answer:
Blepheritis
Detailed Answer:
My dear,
As you see the lesion on the lid surface extends about an inch beyond the angle of eye,so this is unlikely to be controlled by thesteroid drops you are putting in the eye.In situations like this even steroid ointments of skin will be ok if you take the precaution of lightly applying it over the surface and leaving the edge so that it doesent go into the eye.
Visit the local pharmecy and check out on skin ointments and grt back to me if needed. If we can get this ointment, it will haste the recovery.
In the meanwhile continue with vigamox and prednisolone eye drops.
