Suggest Treatment For Swollen Feet, Ankles And Lower Legs
Question: I have swollen feet, ankles, and lower legs. This has been diagnosed at least once as Peripheral Edema. I am now taking Furosemide and Gabapentin for this condition...Without much help. Please help direct me toward better treatment.

If the swelling is restricted to one side – the cause is local.
On both sides – it is a systemic (generalised) cause / the usual reasons are the heart, kidney, liver, low protein… these problems are almost always associated with other symptoms and signs, that can point out to it.
You have not mentioned anything else – you do not seem to have any other issue
So, the most likely cause is Chronic Venous Insufficiency – incompetence of the veins in the lower extremity or even higher up in the abdomen. The valves become incompetent from degeneration and is common with age
A Doppler study is necessary to evaluate it.
If so, graduated elastic compressions stockings can help / rarely, surgery for an obstruction may be feasible…
Have a second opinion (vascular Surgeon) and get investigated
