Suggest Treatment For Swollen Gums
Gum infection, tooth infection, scaling, root canal treatment, medication
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your query. I have gone through your query.
As far as the swollen gums is concerned, I have the following possibilities.
it can be because of the collection of pus secondary to gum or tooth infection. To confirm the diagnosis you need to get a radiograph like radiovisuograph or orthopantomograph done. Once the diagnosis is confirmed we can treat accordingly with either scaling and root planing(for gum infection) or root canal treatment(for tooth infection). So consult an Oral physician and get it evaluated. Mean while you can take a course of antibiotics like amoxicillin and metronidazole combination (if you are not allergic). Do saline gargling. Flucloxacillin is not effective against tooth or gum infection.
These are the possible diagnosis and treatment plan based on your description about your problem. Kindly upload the images of swollen gums for better diagnosis and treatment plan.
I hope I have answered your query. If you have any queries reply me back. Take care.
