Question: Hi Good Afternoon,

My mother is 58yrs old and she had Sugar&BP from almost 15yrs. Six years back she was notified with cists in her kidneys and got cured after medication. Recently from past one month she was getting abdominal pain and when we contacted gynecologist, they took abdominal scan and noticed that some nerve from kidney to Urinary bladder is blocked and need to contact urologist.
Kindly advise us whether it is ver critical case or can be cured with medicines? Let us know if there is any further information required so that we would be able to provide you

Brief Answer:
Yes, she needs immediate attention.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thank You for consulting HealthcareMagic!

Yes, she needs immediate attention. However, I cannot say that it is very critical case. And yes it can be cured if proper cause is identified. Her kidney has swollen up with the cause of it not known properly.

Usually the cause of this would be kidney stones but her ultrasound report says that there are no calculi (stones). However, she needs more precise and sensitive investigations like CT scan and also physical examination by the specific doctor for this kind of problems(a Urologist) would help in identifying exact cause and then appropriate treatment can be planned.

Stay healthy and thank you for consulting! You can contact me again anytime, if you need clarifications or further assistance in future. Kindly rate the answer if you are satisfied.
